Business Development Manager/Consultant
The position reports to COO.
Conducting market and technology research;
Formulation of strategy for improving existing business and developing new business propositions;
Locate or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners, discovering and exploring opportunities;
Screen potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; recommending equity investments;
Develop negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals;
Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations;
Plan and schedule new business development timelines and milestones using appropriate tools;
Direct and manage new business deals from beginning to end;
Where required, negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company;
Identify and resolve issues and conflicts that arise with new business development within the company;
Identify trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, announcements, and tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments;
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations; and
Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
